Global surveys indicate that Taiwanese people have one of the lowest frequencies of sexual activity worldwide, posing a significant challenge for Durex’s sales. With life stress and distractions like work, gyms, gaming, and streaming, intimacy has become routine and uninspired for many. To address this, Durex introduced “Sexercise,” a playful innovation inspired by Nintendo’s fitness ring. This product combines condoms with fitness straps to create a smartphone-powered “bedroom fitness ring” that tracks movements and calculates calories burned during 13 interactive “sexercises,” gamifying intimacy for a fun and engaging experience.
The campaign achieved remarkable success. Durex product sales rose by 136%, and 100,000 fitness ring sets sold out. Over 500,000 Sexercise sessions were played, reigniting passion among Taiwanese couples and redefining how they perceive intimacy. Through this creative approach, Durex not only boosted sales but also encouraged couples to rediscover the joy of connection and shared experiences.
